Programs
Creative
Synergy Solutions subscribes to the theory that adults learn
best through action. As a result, programs are highly
interactive, combining the use of dramatic and theatrical
elements with classical organizational development theory
to deliver concrete results.
Diversity Training
In a world in which so many differences exist and often collide,
we need safe places to create bridges. Places where the complexity
and richness of our histories are treated with honor. Places where
we feel safe to say who we are, who we were, and who we want to become.
This workshop focuses on the following objectives:
- Increase awareness and
appreciation of diversity
- Understand business
imperatives for leveraging diversity
- Learn skills and work
behaviors that create an environment of inclusion and respect
- Understand how to manage
the impact of subtle bias.
Team Building Retreats
Any organization that seeks to sustain itself must continuously
assess their progress on this path. Consistent attention must be
paid to reducing systematic and interpersonal obstacles while building
upon the strengths and opportunities that lay at its feet. We partner with you to design each program. Here are typical
retreat objectives:
- Assist team members in
gaining greater self-awareness
- Assist team members in
better understanding how their behaviors may be impacting supervisors,
peers, and clients.
- Increase trust and cohesion
with the team
- Provide forum for identifying
best-case scenarios for solving business challenges.
Playback Theatre Workshops
This workshop uses a type of improvisational theatre called Playback
Theater. In a Playback workshop participants are exposed to a variety
of action techniques to explore their own personal stories from the past, present, and future
while learning creative ways to ‘playback’ the stories
of others.
- Improves
individual self-awareness leading to improved team interactions
- Decreases
stress leading to increased performance
- Improves
team bonding leading to greater trust and productivity
- Improves
spontaneity, creativity, and critical thinking abilities
- Provides
non-threatening way to ‘shake things up’
All
ages can enhance their creativity, spontaneity, and empathy
skills through Playback. No acting experience is necessary.
Playback can be especially useful for counselors, educators
and adults searching for effective, fun, and deep methods
for personal growth.

Leadership Development
In a retreat format, participants explore ways to use their
cultural backgrounds as a leadership advantage. Although tailored
to each group, the program uses a mix of presentation of theory,
individual and large group activities to encourage self-reflection
and practice activities.
- To
help gain a greater awareness of leadership strengths
- To
provide the Emotional Intelligence Framework to help assess
those strengths
- To
identify how one's cultural background can assist in being
a good leader
- To
identify how your 'life story' may be impacting one's current
leadership ability
Organizational Change Management
This course will help participants handle difficulties as well as
the opportunities involved in organizational change. Learning to
manage change effectively is a never-ending challenge for most people.
No matter how flexible people are, everyone needs help developing
effective coping strategies.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the typical business reasons driving
organizational change
- Understand the psychological impact of change
- Explore best-case strategies for managing change
- Identify personal coping strategies for handling
change
Leadership Theatre
Leadership theatre is an interactive experience that teaches people how to effectively collaborate by deeply understanding each other’s point of view. It is highly effective in eliminating the “us-them” mentality that separates people along lines of race, class, ethnicity, and background.
Leadership
Theater uses an improvisational theatre technique called Playback
Theatre. During a Playback performance,
someone tells a story from the group about their life then
chooses cast members to play the significant characters in
the story. The conductor guides the ‘teller’ through
the story telling process. After the story is told, it is
immediately recreated and given artistic shape and coherence
by a cast of seasoned actors and musicians.
Expected Benefits:
- Builds cohesion and trust within the group
- Identifies universality of group concerns
- Helps to bring emotions directly to the surface to see how they affect work performance
- Provides emotional distance for greater objectivity and insight
- Increases understanding of others
- Increases capacity for creative thinking and risk-taking
